Hi Kosmo,
Sedat said you probably know the answer to my question, so I will ask here. I will also ask in the English forum, as Google translation might not make sense.
This is about opening books and the "learn from database" option in Fritz/Chessbase.
If I made an empty book, and added 1 game ("import from database" . Do I need to also do "learn from database" so that that line is now played more often? I'm trying to decide if I should import a game (step 1), AND "learn from database" (Step 2), for that same game.

BrandonSi, earlier I thought that training by base of games it is good. Now I try to avoid training by games. Because sometimes Engine does not play a course which is written down in the book. |

Manual adjustment of the basic lines does not occupy a lot of time. Put green colour to the basic courses. About training from base of games.
8/1P2R3/6pk/1B1p3p/4p2P/1P2K3/r5Pb/8 b - - 0 44
In this position Mybook18.3 have 2 moves:
44.... Rg2 (green colour, a tournament course), 1/2-1/2
44.... Bg1 + (red colour, not tournament course), 1-0
Mybook18.3 play 44... Bg1 +??? (44... Rg2!, draw). Plays Rybka3. The course is made not under the book. Because superfluous training by base of games has affected the book. Because of it (superfluous training by base of games) I have lost many points in Sedatchess and Pionerchess. I recommend to dump weight in the book.

Thanks Kosmo! I've  n doing a lot of hand tuning to my book recently. Thanks for the photo.
You said you only do hand tuning for MyBook? So each version you release (MyBook 20, MyBook20.1) only include changes you made by hand? You don't ever start over with a new book?
